Your transition from classroom to cockpit is seamless, with flight simulators that match the fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft. Earn approximately 250 hours of flight time, including a solo flight during your first semester!

This program follows educational standards that meet FAA Part 141 guidelines. Prepare for both the knowledge and skills tests required by the FAA to obtain your pilot's license.

You'll get one-on-one instruction from experienced pilots who can prepare you for FAA certification and teach you what it's like to work as a pilot.

Classroom learning happens in the Aviation section of the new Gateway Building on the Aims Windsor Campus. Here is where you'll learn the basics of flight and prepare for your FAA Knowledge Exams.


State-of-the-art flight simulators and training flights take place at the Aims Flight Training Center (AFTC), located in Loveland. This training gives you the experience and confidence to take your FAA Practice Exams.

Some alumni even choose to stay on and teach at Aims after graduating from this program. Your instructors will bring their expertise into the lab and during flight training, giving you valuable insight into how to prepare for FAA certification and what employers are seeking from new hires.
